Fine Dining

For the true gourmet there are some dining establishments that specialize in the finest of ingredients, wines and atmosphere. Linen tablecloths and crystal chandeliers are frames for the caviar encrusted sea bass or passion fruit crème brulee. Tuxedoed waiters and kow towing maitre d’s live to make your every wish come true. And the platinum credit card is the payment method of choice.

Casual Dining

The best restaurants in Buzios are not necessarily the most expensive. What makes some of these restaurants so popular is good food in combination with other amenities. Restaurants that sit on the beach or overlook the water are quite popular. Restaurants with lounges, bars and dance floors also attract a lot of traffic. If the food is good and the party exciting, visitors will flock to this establishment for a grand night of revelry.

This Thais restaurant has some of the finest dining in Buzios. The elegant dining room is done up in Asian style and makes the visitor feel they are eating in native Thailand. Chicken curry, shrimp soup with broccoli, green beans and cilantro and fish in coconut milk are just some of the specialties to be found here. As this is a fine dining establishment the prices are a bit steep but well worth the cost.

Another gourmet restaurant, the French cuisine blends wonderfully with the romantic view of the Atlantic ocean. Expect to find both nouveau French dishes as well as more traditional cuisine. Each is accompanied with some of the local fruits and vegetables found around Buzios. A favorite side dish is the sweet Baroa potato that always seems to pair well with either meat or fish.

Patio Havana

A casual dining experience that seems to be crowded at all times of day, Patio Havana serves a more International menu than most restaurants. The patio overlooking the ocean is quite casual and serves snacks and drinks. The dining room is a bit more upscale with dishes such as lobster with a butter-lemon sauce.

This seafood franchise originated in Rio de Janeiro. Linen and candlelight create a sensual atmosphere and the tables on the terrace overlooking the pier are especially romantic. The bar is quite popular with the upper echelon locals and visitors. Expect to rub elbows with some of the more well known Buzios locals.

Opened in 2008 this Italian restaurant has a lovely terrace that looks out over Manguinhos beach. Seafood is cooked up with plenty of garlic and olive oil. Zabaglione and limoncello finish out the dining experience. This restaurant also has a mirrored bar and two lounges. It is much bigger than its counterpart in Rio de Janeiro.
