The biggest draws in beautiful Buzios are offered by its twenty-something beautiful beaches.

Each beach in Buzios has its own personality and caters to a specific crowd. Some beaches are perfect for families. Some beaches are a paradise for surfers. What they all have in common is their stunning beauty and exquisite waters.

Beaches located in the south are harder to get to, but they are worth the extra mile and offer better waters for surfing and snorkeling in little hidden half-moon mini beaches. The beaches located in the north are closer to hotels and restaurants and more sheltered, ideally for families.

Beaches of Armação dos Buzios

If you look counterclockwise, you will find Geriba and Ferradurinha right next to it. There is even a small passage one can take on foot from Geriba Beach to Ferradurinha Beach. By the way it’s helpful to know that Ferradurinha means Little Horseshoe. Geriba is good for surfing and thus always attracts a young crowd.

Next on the coast is Ferradura, which is preferred for kite surfing, windsurfing and skiing. Then there is Lagoinha, Praia da Foca and Praia do Forno. Praia Olho de Boi (Bull's Eye) is Buzios’ nude beach. It’s accessible by a little train from the clean and rough beach of Praia Brava.

Reaching the tip of the isthmus, Joao Fernandinho and Joao Fernandes are great for snorkeling, just like Azedinha and Azeda, two beautiful beach spots reached from Ossos Beach. Then you will find Praia dos Ossos itself, Praia da Armacao, Praia do Caboclo, and Praia dos Amores are pretty to look at, but no so nice for bathing due to the many boats in the area, it’s the city’s port. Buzios is famous to please its visitors with the most picturesque beaches and seashores in Brazil.

Exquisite centrally located beaches as Praia do canto and Praia da Armacao are to die for.  Along Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot, they will take your breath away. Praia da Tartaruga is a jewel beach, right before Praia do Gaucho and Manguinhos. Then you will find Praia Rasa, full of condos and dominated by the heavy winds at the entrance of Buzios.
